TEHRAN - The Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force's Space Division has announced that the Ghaem 105 satellite carrier will be launched by the end of this year or next year in four phases.

General Ali Jafarabadi emphasized the significance of the Ghaem 105 project, describing it as a "serious project."

The Ghaem 105, capable of carrying nearly twice the payload of its predecessor, the Ghaem 100, marks a significant advancement in Iran's space capabilities.

Earlier this year, Iran set a new milestone by launching the Soraya satellite to an altitude of 750 kilometers using the domestically manufactured Ghaem 100 satellite carrier.

This launch, attended by top IRGC officials, was the first time an Iranian satellite carrier reached a 750 km orbit.

The Ghaem 105, being the first four-stage satellite carrier, introduces new complexities and promises to enhance Iran's ability to launch larger satellites into higher, more stable orbits.

General Jafarabadi also expressed optimism about future advancements of Iran’s space program.

The Ghaem 105 will be able to carry satellites weighing up to 200 kg to an altitude of 500 km or lighter satellites up to 2,000 km. This development underscores Iran's growing capabilities in space technology and satellite deployment.
